This hand-drawn shell uses an ink and bleach based to explore texture and contrast, layered on top with mixed media mark-making. Inspired by natural patterns, the layered lines show an experimental mix of drawing techniques.
The artwork sits on a warm brown background that has been block printed with designs inspired by shell-like forms.
